I've been busy these past few weeks, and no, I've not been sniffing glue. I am not really sure where that thought might have come from, but it certainly couldn't have been from me. But while we're on the subject, I'd say that glue is a very interesting thing and that it requires closer scrutiny. WEll what can I say? I've been trying to write for the Dakota Stupid for the past few weeks, but to no avail. I've read the many opinion articles and I must say that none of them are very good. They may be written well, but they are just drivel that really isn't worth anyone's time. Even the movie reviews for the Stupid suck. It's easy for me to say this, considering that the Dakota Stupid didn't accept me. But it still hurts to some extent. I like an audience. I like readers. In fact, I still love writing. Huh, who would have known?

I finished up my movie, or at least, I finished up the festival version of my movie. My friend from U of M gave me around 40 minutes of original music to use and I utilized it to its full extent. I just showed it off to two fellows in the dorms here and they enjoyed it. Granted, the movie has its problems, but frankly, it was my first movie. I am allowed some fucking slack. For a first movie, I think I did a superb job and that I learned a hell of a lot.

You may notice that there's a lot of anime on this list and only two American shows. Why's that? Hmmm. Oh yeah, I forgot. American TV is fast becomming reality TV. All I say to that is EW. Yuck. When I turn on the boob toob (yes..i spelled it wrong on purpose) I want fiction. I want escape. I want a story to latch onto, and a damn good story at that. I also want comedy that reflects the inner dork that I truly am (hence scrubs...see also: me similar to Zach Braff's character in scrubs???). The shows I listed are definitely worth checking out. I will be glad to show you any of these if you live in Grand Forks, and on the UND campus. If not, you can find them wherever most ahem....ripped....shows can be found...like in bits and torrents and such....ahem.

Back to my glue....

So I've been thinking a lot about relationships and dating and what attracts us to each other. And all I can say right now is that thinking about it doesn't help one iota. The basic college and popular culture mentality is that you go out and do stuff with "hot" or "amazing" looking people. If you are a guy, the first thought is always about looks. If you are a gal, well, I can only guess that you are thinking about his appearance. Whoever reads this, what are your thoughts? Should looks be the first and foremost in how you choose your relationships, or is it better to have a certain something...a certain connection....

It would appear that my dreams are fucked up. I say this because last night consisted of me dreaming about smoking it up with all the cast from Zoobilee Zoo. Yes folks, this is now officially the oddest moment in my life. Basically, the fox and I made asses out of ourselves, falling over tables and shit. Still, that doesn't compare to the dream about my parents doing a hannibal lecter to my brain in the bathroom tub...*shudders*
